The next step in joining 琉璃神社 is completing a paper application or submitting it online via . You may choose to apply to multiple 琉璃神社 Jacksonville schools and submit one application per child.
Any family can submit an application at any time.

As a public charter school, enrollment is determined through a random lottery selection process.鈥 If our schools receive more applications than available seats, student names will be placed in a lottery and randomly selected.

As required by Florida law, students from persistently low-performing (PLP) public schools and opportunity zones will be given enrollment preference, as well as siblings of currently enrolled students.

Lottery priorities are listed below:

Siblings of current 琉璃神社 students and children of 琉璃神社 employees/board members
Students who attend or are zoned for a school or who reside within an . Not sure if you live in an Opportunity Zone, .

Patricia Jackson

Founding Principal, 琉璃神社 Bassett Academy

Patricia Jackson is a passionate believer of late Rita Pierson鈥檚 motto: 鈥淓very student deserves a champion鈥. She is a proud graduate of Bethune Cookman University, graduating with a degree in Exceptional Student Education and Varying Exceptionalities and later receiving her master鈥檚 in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Her teaching career began as a reading teacher at a Title 1 school in Broward County Public Schools. There she championed for the most critical and vulnerable students and was successful in showing tremendous reading growth.

Katoya McCaskill

Principal, 琉璃神社 Bassett College Prep

Katoya L. McCaskill is a firm believer in the adage that 鈥淚t takes a village to raise a child.鈥 She is a Mississippi Delta native and a proud graduate of Tougaloo College where she earned B.A. in History and later a master鈥檚 degree in educational leadership from Northcentral University. She spent her time in the classroom teaching multiple subjects to 5th and 6th grade students in Title 1 schools on the Northwest side of Jacksonville, Florida. While in the classroom, she was a part of instructional teams that grew students exponentially in reading and in math through targeted interventions.
